I think Im a majority here. I know there can be big cats from the bank too. but have not found any yet. Fished Frontier park by casino off main street, no luck. weldon springs boat ramp, no luck. winfield lock and dam 25, but too much barge traffic. Any one with any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Usually between 7-12pm.

First off Jeff, welcome to the boc. What works for me is to find a spot that has a big hole in front of it. It might also be the bait your using. I know how you feel because im the only person in my little fishing group that dont have a boat, but i am looking.

I think there are a lot of us out there without boats. I us google earth and live.maps.com to find good spot with a clearing, then I try to find the land owner and ask if its OK. I have found a couple of good spots this way and anything is worth a shot. Good Luck.

i have a 14 ft.glass boat with a 15 horse motor but i do 95% of my fishing from the bank.you have to figure out a way to present baits to places other bank fishermen cant.i fish a lake with cages where they raise catfish so i got a remote controled boat to take my bait out to the cages.i use a bobber to float my bait 1 ft.deeper than the cages and i catch afew big fish this way.keep an open mind and you will find that special place where the big ones are.

Where in Missouri are ya located? You said you fished Frontier Park and that sounds familiar. Also don't feel alone, I too don't have a boat and am stuck doing shore fishing.I agree you need to find a deep hole and I certainly found one.Haven't pulled a lunker out yet but I know the place I found has to have them.Post back and tell me where in Missouri you are at. If you're close enough,I'd be glad to show ya what I have found. I fished it with another BOC Brother and he was so impressed he said he was makin the drive to come back again. Again Welcome! Get your 10 posts up so ya can see the attachments.Get a picture up as soon as possible,we all like to see each other.Send in $10 to the Staff and get your Gold Star. That way you're considered a contributing member and ya get to enter the contests. This is a really fun place to hang out, hope ya enjoy it as much as the rest of us do!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sister Pat:wink::smile2:

    welcome aboard jeff
I have a boat but I also do 75-80% of my fishing from the bank
Frontier park by casino is one of my honey holes, when their biting their biting. theres a wing dam about 100 yards down from the boat ramp, right in back of it theres a hole about 15-20ft deep great spot. really have a lot of luck at night.

Thanks every one for the good advice. I live in st. charles, so frontier park is so close. Willie, is it the wing dike right off 5th street, behind the park/katy trail. Its hard now because water is high. I cant really get out on the dike very far, maybe thats the problem.
