Boy isn't it nice to find things on the BOC when you have been gone a while. I start surfing and I find Jim is in his element. Way to go buddy. This is a cool thread. I have to show something I have built.

I have built an ONIT several times. What is an onit you may ask. The answer is you can set ONIT; you can stand ONIT; and you can iron ONIT. It has also been called a bachelors bench; or Jefferson's bench.
I ordered the plans and they were junk. Among things wrong with them, they gave a measurement on one side of the plans in one size, turn the page and the same piece had different a measurement. It took a little while but I got it figured out.

A couple of times I wanted to go into the woodworking business. My wife said don't make you hobby your business, you will come to hate it. I think she was right. Besides she and the kids have enough projects for me to last a life time and sometimes I will build something and set it on the sidewalk and sell it. So I am still having fun.

Well I found out you can only post 3 pic's. here is the last one. The top on the ironing board isn't stained or finished because of the heat. A cover is made for it.

Thanks guys, it is a neat project.
I feel pretty good about my projects, then I take a look at Jim's and hang my head in shame. I wish I were a 1,000/th as good as he is. Jim is the master.
