It sure is fun to take the younger ones outdoors and see them have success ! We took My son, one of his buddies, and my daughter deer hunting last weekend and all scored. My daughter got her first deer, my boy got one too. and his buddy got this nice one... after he questioned where I told him to sit.... maybe us old men arent wrong all the time ! A great time was had by all , and that's what it is all about.
    Happy Holidays All

WTG great to hear of the success. Maybe they will keep hunting as they get older and encourage others to hunt. Everyone should try and take youngsters hunting and fishing to give them something else to do besides watch t.v. and play video games. Youngsters are the future of hunting and fishing. If they don't approve when they get older then our great sport will die with you and I. Reps to ya.

Congratulations to all of you Larry. It is good to see someone showing younger hunters the ropes. I must say they were mighty nice ropes at that. :smile2:

Great story, great buck! I think if I ever got one that big down here, I'd just "hang it up", cause it wouldn't get no better!! Ha! Congrats to the hunters, & tell the daughter "Welcome to the Sisterhood" of huntresses! Always glad to hear of kids being involved in the outdoors.

Are they going to have it mounted? If so I would highly recommend Joe Meder up in Solon, close to Iowa City. He's one of the world's best I think. That's where I had mine done.

Thanks everyone for your comments. We can never have enough hunting and fishing buddies they are the best kind. I have to admitt that I get as much out of taking the kids hunting and fishing as they do. Seeing that genuine excitement and thrill in them is priceless.
We took the buck to a taxidermist tuesday evening, my daughter wanted to go along, she says she will get a bigger one this weekend... kids...they help keep us young.
