One heck of a day catfishing on the ohio river

    today me and my friend dale whent out to the ohio to fish for sripers and catfish to get some food in the freezer and we cought more then enogh fish i cought like 50 sripers and 2 catfish channels and sale cought about 30 sripers and 2 catfish also 1was an channel and the other was an blue we was fishing there at the racine dam in the other pool downstream not in the racine pool if any of u wonted to go fish it just let me no because i need more fish in the freezer

    the sripers were any were between 1and 3lbs. and the catfish was from about 1 to 5 lbs.

    well had to thorw a lot of them back but the catfish we kept them all because we wasnt over the limit but on sriper i think your only aloud like 6a day but with an elecritc fillet knifre it make filleting fish easyier

    That is a good day on the river. What were you using to pull in the stripers and were the cats hitting on artificial?

    we was useing liver all of the fish we cought was on liver cats to the sripers when i get the pics up here u can see all the fish that we keept to fillet

    Nice job...I was out last night and we caught one and I missed another...see my avatar for the picture...the one I missed was definitely big but i'll never know how big...we were fishing just downstream from the Beckjord power plant off the banks...all runs were off full and cut shad...we had a real small run off a bluegill head though...all and all not a bad night.

    well try and catch that fish next time mike but ya we also fish at some plant there downstream of the racine dam and we cough a lot of sripers and and 4 catfish 1 being a blue the rest was sripers all cough on liver with an secert ingerdent its not wd40 so dont worry i dont use that crap well if i get the time i would like to meet up with some pealpe and get on a boat and go back to that spot if ay of u wont to go just tell me and i will see if i can go
