Trying to catch "Skipjack" for bait. Tried very small white hair jigs near bridge piers, and around the dams on the Ohio river and I can't seem to be able to catch them. What might I be doin wrong?? Any ideas would surely help. Thanks for your time.

I've been told to use a Sabiki rig. I've tried down at the Greenup Locks & Dam and not had any luck. I wish I could find some though. I finally found a bait shop close by that sells them but he's out right now.

use 2 jigs and make 1 of them green.keep your rig moving fast.fast enough to fish 1 ft.deep or shallower.if they are around this will catch them.

Try two white twister tail jigs, or 1 white and 1 Chartuce green. 1 1/2 " twister grubs on 1/16 oz heads. This should get the job done.
