I use to take a piece of aluminum foil and rap it around the trigger of a foot set or jumper trap and place in the shallows of a moving creek. I all so would take a log nail a trap to the end of it and put it in a shallow pond or puddle with the trap in the water, the coon's would walk to the end and search the water for food and get caught. I did use a can of tuna just hooked to the trigger of a 330 conibear but I tried to get away from baiting so not to catch dogs and cats and other unwanted animals.
