Anybody on here been Ice fishing? I heard it was pretty
good in places
I would think the ice would be a little thin.....
Hey olddog, remember when you use to over night in Beloit, Ks. When I took that route, I remember one morning getting up to 30 below zero, (chill factor) I bet at times you could ice fish up there. Too cold for these old bones.
HEY FLINT I REMBER THEM DAYS I RED HERE A COUPLE
WEEK AGO THAT MARION LAKE THE ICE WAS 7" THICK
I am a Florida boy and have never been ice fishing.
One of these days before I get too much older I am gona try it.
Kinda like fishing in a freezer except colder Huh?
John I've never been ice fishing myself. I would like to try it some day. I have a friend here in Okla. who goes back to Deluth, Mn. for a week each winter to ice fish. He always does good.
Hey olddog, That ice on Marion is gonna get thicker from what I hear. You all had 11 degrees, according to our weather man this morn. Why dont you go up and check it out and they are bitting call me. If their not bittin' let me stay in the warm.
I had a friend of mine that hunted polar bears.
His method was to dig a big hole in the ice and take a can of peas and spread the peas around the hole and when the bear came up to take a pea he would kick him in the ice hole.
Just couldn't resist throwin that in.
We really do need an ice fishing article with pictures for the library.
Kepp this in mind if you know of a member that ice fishes.
Mark I have a friend that Ice fishes and he loves it.
