old reels

    Hey folks,

    I am new here and in search of some info on two old reels I have. One is a
    Ambassadeur 5000c 1960's black with pearl handles and the other is a daiwa 7300 spin. any info would be great thanks.

    I'd say, they're both great reels.. Post a couple pics, and show them,, There's more than likely a bunch of folks might know some stuff about them...!!!!!:wink:

    Welcome to the BOC. Now I have 2- 5000c ambassadors that I have use since the late 70's. They were the first with bearing instead of bushings. (I think) I have never had any problem out of either of the ones I have. If you like more line capacity you can switch to braid and increase line capacity buy quit a bit of yardage.
