    Howdy all,
I'm sure this has been discussed on the BOC before but how does everyone dispose of old line. Just a few years ago Wally World had boxes available. Lately I've been tossing it into a burn barrel. I really don't want it going to landfill. Yes I'm one of those guys that will stop fishing to pull someones abandoned line from trees brush or where ever. Just wondering.

I do the very same thing. I also burn it in the stve in my garage. I also pick up spent line athats lying around on the bank. Not only isit a hazard, more often than not ill geta hook or sinker out of the deal. Kinda like recycling twice

You can also go into your local Bass Pro... If you don't have a place, mail it to me (pm me to get my addy) i'll take it into the Bass Pro by me to get it recycled... I'm always pulling in discarded fishing line... when i'm out fishing my pockets will fill up w/ it, its disturbing sometimes how much people break off or just leave on the shore... I have a big bag from Bass Pro sitting in my garage filling up w/ used fishing line from when i respool or the stuff i get from camp, the shorelines, etc... I just wish anglers would be more considerate of the resources they have...
