Okuma tundra fishing rod question

    does anyone know if the okuma tundra rods are any good, i was out checkin out rods today w/ my wifes old man and hes good friends with the store owner so i got a 10 footer for $25 seemed like a deal since it was stickered at 40. just wonderin if anyone has used em before, and if they can stand up to a big fish.

    My cousin just bought one for his wife. I forget how long it was.
    It looks like a nice rod for lake fishin, it has a really soft tip.
    I think its a striper rod beacuse its rated for heavy line but not for heavy sinkers? I dont know though.:smile2:
    Okuma makes some great reels though.:wink:

    Jeff, sounds like a good rod. I wouldnt be afraid to throw 6 oz. of weight with it. Good luck with it. Let us know how it works out for you. :cool2:

    took it out last night to test it out, threw 5 oz of lead on it to see how itd cast (it said rated for 2 1/2 max) and it launhced it waaaaaaaaaaay out there. now all i need is to hook a monster and see how it holds up
