Anyone use the Okuma Classic Pro CL 452 L Reels for flatheads? Just wanted to know if they are a good reel.

    Thanks

The 302's work great. You shouldn't have any problems out of the 452. Basically the same reel, just a little larger with a little faster line retrieve.

Thanks for the information - They quit making the reels that I was using so I am looking for something new to try.

    Thanks again

Rod, i dunno if you use garcias or not? and i have another reel thats a shimano triton thats fairly good. don't like it like the garcias, but it has a strong clicker, and holds plenty of line... rollo

I bought the new Garcia 7000c3 last year and love it! I also use Quantum Big Irons also, but they don't make them anymore.

I have 6 of the Big Irons and don't really need a reel. I found a deal on two for these and was wondering if anyone used.

Also, how do they cast? Any problems throwing big baits?

    Thanks for all the information
