Your heading out to go for bass but can only take 1 rod and reel set up and 1 lure or bait what would it be? For me it would be a ultra-light combo with a 5 inch 3 hooker purple worm with white stripe!!.

Mine would be a medium action spinning outfit. Twelve pound test (a little much, but I wanna be on the safe side..lol), and a seven inch black/blue fleck powerbait worm on a texas rig. Can't beat a weedless presentation for fishing grass and brush piles. The scent from the powerbait also helps in muddy water imo.

3 to 4 inch bream, shad or shiners fished about 2-3 foot under a bobber along the edge of lilly pads or weeds. 20 or 25 pound test line..

My choice would be a 6' med light spinning rig spooled with 8lb mono. Bait would have to be a purple 4" slider worm fished on a 1/16 oz slider spider head. This is a killer bass bait.
