Ive read some info on here about the Zote soap..

I know its a slow bait...all soap is...

just got 2 bars...wanted to know if anyone knew how to keep em from drying out??

some say ziplock bag with NO air..some say WITH Air...some say leavem in their package..

but thats the prob. going fishing after Turkey day...and have to have em prepared up...(late night fishing...only be 1 person..hard to bait and keep the boat a'float'...

    thanks for any ideas!

Cut the soap into the size squares you want to use, then put them in a plastic container with a lid.

Then put into the Ice box till you are reading to go fishing. This will help keep them fresh without getting hard..

after i get them cut up, i put them in a plastic container. i then take an 8 ounce bottle of mineral oil and 1 ounce of anise oil and pour over pieces. will not dry out and become crumbly. i think this actually enhances the bait instead of hurting it. works great for me. a couple bars soaked in this stuff will bait a many a hook.
