You can probably convert the #'s over @ a NAPA store, their filters are made by Wix and are top quality.

Price shopping is okay, up to the point that you won't be sacrificing quality.......If you think the filters are $$$$$, try an engine:wink:

I bought the 1st filter from the dealer for $14.20 and then did a little internet searching. ( And I bought a wrench from an auto dealer after fighting that 1st oil change !!! )

    Yamaha p/n 5GH-13440-00, $14.20
Bought FRAM PH6017A at Blaines Farm & Fleet, $5.09.

    Yamaha: 5GH-13440-00-00
    FRAM: PH6017A (( $4.50 at Walmart ))
    K&N: KN-303
    Sudco: 631-7303
    NAPA Gold: 1358
    WIX: 51358
    AC Delco: PF2135
    AC: 2057
    Purolator: ML16817
    Carquest: 85358
    Perf Form: FZS-1000-FZ1
    and finially,
Sierra: 18-7914, Which Replaces OEM part #
    MERCURY MARINE 35-822626Q2
    MERCURY MARINE 35-822626Q04
    YAMAHA 5GH-13440-00-00

I'll be using FRAM as it can be bought from just about anywhere and I've used them for my vehicles all my life. As for quality, when I look inside the FRAM, I see some metal and the Yamaha only has the "paper" filter element. It looked like the FRAM was a much higher structural quality inside.

I forgot to mention something. The search revealed it was a common filter used on motorcycles and ATVs.
