Tomato juice will work. Don't let the dog in the house, anything she lays on will smell for months. The juice will get most of the smell but the dog may have a little odor for a long while especially when it is damp out. Throw your clothes away after the bath. The good news is you won't smell it after a while but anyone who doesn't live there will.

I know I'll catch flack over this,Lee. But the very best skunk oder eliminator is good ole gasoline. Be VERY SPARINGLY with it ,just a dab on a rag and rub over the body, then follow with letting it air out OUTSIDE for a while. After a day or two no skunk odor,no gas odor.

when i trapped where i sold my pelts they skinned skunks and they used crisco to wash there hands, they said that the musk is a oil base, you might want try a crisco then wash it off with dawn, just note a dog's skin is sensitive to harsh soaps so make sure you rinse you dog off good, or you can try go-jo hand cleaner that will take almost any order off, once again wash you pup good and rise well.

Lee, Go down and buy a quart or two jugs of hydrogen peroxide and pour over that dog, It will help get rid of most of stench .Watch ole bitty foam up.Then give her a good rinse. My old dog was the king of skunk killers

    Shoot the dog.

Use the tomato juice to make a Bloody Mary. Use the Crisco to make some fried fish. Use the Go-Jo to wash your wife's underwear. Beer, Hamms, From the Land of Sky Blue Waters does the trick. The dog and the Indians from Minnesota will smell better.
