Took a buddy out to the river on Saturday. It was about as windy as it could be. Constant 10-20 mph winds with gusts going 30. The water temps were already down to 62. My buddy had not caught a fish in about 25+ years and had never caught a cat. He ended up pulling in a 5lb channel! The fishing was slow for us probably because we spent most of the day fishing places that are not so great but out of the wind. I ended up getting an 18lb Flat, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the last flat of the year for me. I saw some early predictions for temps in the 50's next week, if that happens the flatheads will be on the beds before long.

    Yeah, it's cooling down quickly.
Last night it got pretty freakin' cold :smile2::smile2:
But that's fine, I won't mind some winter blues that's just around the corner.

And at least you guys got into some fish. The boat never takes a skunkin'!
