Mike (Ruger 454) and I got out on the river last night. We put in at Westport, Ky around 6:00. We had a little trouble finding bait, the Shad were not at the usual places. We finally netted some nice Shad just before dark. We set up on a ledge that dropped to 35' of water. The river has good color and is down a little with slow current. We caught several nice fish, Blues, Channels and one nice Flathead 27lb....Dave

Same here, we got on the river last night and did some drifting around the greenwood area. We ended up with 6 blues total all over 10 lbs with our largets being around 30 lbs. Seems like the bits is turning back on.

I'm interested in finding a fishing buddy. I have some new Catfish Doughballs I'd like to use.

Fished the Ohio this morning and it was very slow, no fish activity at any of my little hotspots (even though I put them back). I did however manage to pick up a very hard hitting 6lb channel, which I thought was a gar because of the violent jerks...goes to show ya you never know whats comin out of the Ohio
