I was wondering is there a website that shows all the pools of the Ohio and what they are called? I keep hearing about fishing in different pools and I'm never sure where they are compared to what I fish.

I believe pools are defined by the water above a certain dam....so the cincy area is in the Markland Pool...the water held above markland.....and the water held by the Meldhal Dam is the meldhal pool etc. I used to be confused by this too...thought the Cincy area would be the meldhal pool for the longest time.

I fish the pool at the Greenup dam on a regular basis and even though i havent done any good with catfish the strippers run hard in that area. But i have heard of some big cats caught in that area.
