Ohio river Locks & Dams

    Anyone hear ever fished the grennup Locks& Dams On the
    Ohio river in the Scioto County Ohio Area because I Would
    Like to Know Because I heard there are Some Big Catfish there
    I Would Like to hear your Storys About the Locks& Dams
    On the Ohio river.

    i have been to every lock and dam on the muskingum, and can say the ones on the big river outta all be good. just like gary said... send catfishjohn a pm. he is a good dude im sure he will help you! rollo

    I fish above and below the Greenup dam quite a bit from a boat. The fishing is good on both sides of the dam but if you fish the down river side you have to be carefull because there are some large rocks that are just under the water depending on the water level. Just upriver from the dam on the Ohio side is a lot of sunken logs all along the river. Bank fishing is also good below the dam and it has access to the water all along the rip rap.

    I fish below the dam quite a bit but mostly for sauger and walleye.When the water isn't too swift just below the dam will throw out a cut skipjack for catfish and catch a few.The largest caught by me this year was @10 lb. but am sure there are big ones in there.Fished the area in a boat back in the 1960's and 70's and am wanting to get another going.
