Has any body fished the Ohio near Madison lately? I know the water has been up in the lower Wabash, and I was wondering if it has dramaticly affected the big river or not?:eek:oooh:

The Wabash is below Madison so it won't affect the river levels in that area too much. Check on creeks and rivers in Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania and it will give you a better idea of how it is around Madison.

The best place I have found to check river levels is www.USGS.gov Once there on the right hand side you will see a map of the US. Click on Indiana. Then in the new window go down to "real time water data" click on it. Once there it will blow up a map of IN and it will have little circles which are the gaging stations. Click on the one you want to look at and it will give you a graph that you can even alter which will let look at current and past water levels. I hope this is not too confusing.

Here is the page that you want to get to.

Just got back from Madison and the river is up. Plenty of debris floating on top of the water and plenty of small debris was getting hung up on my line. Only one bite all day long.
