What's the closest grain loading spot on the Ohio in regards to Golconda/Smithland?
don't know the area, but you will get your answer soon I am betting. Good luck
Ask this question to some of the Ky boys. I'm thinking there is a grain loading south and north of Smithland Dam. Maybe around Reedland Ky. I can't remember.
mount vernon indiana:roll_eyes:
are they loading at Mt. Vernon. I was there today and didn't see anything being loaded.
haven't been there in about a year ,but they used to load there.:confused2:
I was there yesterday and there were no barges being loaded. That usually happens when grain pricess go up. This starts them to moving grain. Harvest time is coming up (right after labor day) and there will be lots of barges loaded then.
Did you do any good JW? I couldn't shad for the life of me!!
We drifted down that way using cut skipjack and caught (21) fish between 8lbs and 24lbs, during a tournament with a five fish limit. Total weight was 71.0lbs at weigh-in. Couldn't MAKE them take shad!!!!
