Ohio River: East side of Ohio

    Any of you fish the Ohio on the east side, up around the WV, PA, OH areas? Wierton, Steubenville, Toronto, E Palestine, etc.? Was asked to come out that way for a job interview and I have to have good cattin' if I'm going to concider moving there... any help?

    I would think that it is pretty good fishing all up and down the Ohio River

    I live right near there, but I have not fished it in many years. On occasion I will fish the back water ponds by Rayland oh for bass and I sometimes catch 2-5lb cats on lures there. Who are you interviewing with and what do you do?

    the Tailwaters of the Pike Island dam has produced some god cats!

    Yes, there are big flats in those areas. I have seen or heard from reliable sources many cats from 15 to 50 pounds. You know there are always bigger ones. lol :wink:

    What, around Point Pleasant there's Cats big enough to eat a man!!!:lol:

    I fish the Hannibal and Pike Island pools mostly. Theres good flathead and channel cat fishing throughout this section but no blue cats up this far in the Ohio.
