Looking at buying an Abu Garcia 6500TC and need some advice.

I bank fish the Ohio River near Bellevue, KY. Don't catch the monsters I would like, largest about 8 pounds. But being an optimist, I know I will hook onto a flat one of these days and I want to be prepared.

Any suggestion on what is the best line, mono or braid, for bank fishing.

Any suggestions on what pound test to use.

Any suggesionts on leader pound test.

    Thanks,

i bank fish alot on the bank i use ambassadeur 6000,s a penn 320gt a 6500 bcx and a 5500 cl3 and they all work great. i use 30 pound main line and a 60lb leader i use sinker sliders and i also use the 3 way rig this rig works better i think in current. all my line is mono by the way i used braid but went back to mono
