Ohio River 8-6-09

    I took my daughter to the Ohio last night for about 3 hours. We had a little bit of action, but nothing spectacular. The gar were there, and that's never good. We ended up getting a 21" channel, a 23" flat and a 35 1/2" 20 lb flat.
    The river level is back to normal and the color is great, but there were a bunch of floating weeds coming down stream. They are a pain in the rear when they get all balled up on your line!
    Here's my daughter with the 20 lb flathead.

    That is a nice catch. But, I have to agree with a couple of the above posters....it does look bigger than #20.

    You sure your scale isn't off a bit? :smile2:

    My scales are dead on. I have 3 pair in the boat! A spring scale, a digital scale and a Boga grip. I believe that there are a lot of guys that way over estimate the weights of flatheads.
