Fished below the dam at Cannelton Tues. morning. The bite was slow, very slow for this area. Only caught one small channel. Tried moving several times but the current was so swift anchor would not hold. We move to Cloverport, above the dam and caught a few. The water is on it's way up, with a lot of debre starting to show up. It was starting to cloud a little with the temp. around 74. ALSO, A COUPLE OF MILES BELOW THE DAM WE RAN INTO THE FLYING FISH AND HAD TWO FLY INTO THE BOAT. FIRST TIME THEY HAVE EVER MADE IT INTO THE BOAT.

Well, I havent tried bighead, but the silvers are delicious. pure white and flaky meat. The only bad thing is the bones.

A lot of people eat those things, and people even fish for them commercially on the Mississippi. And bigheads are supposed to be as good if not better than silvers.

There is NO comparison between these and common carp. trust me
