When I lived on the Oh, Pa border they built steel ring building nest's for them around the lake. Some would use them, some would build thier own nests. Also seen some on the Mississippi River. I do believe they are making thier way back...

The one at Yatesville Lake built their nest in the ton of a pine tree. The fish/wildlife people have an area around the nest marked off with DONOT ENTER signs. I've been told they write you a ticket if you are caught in the area.

When I was with ODNR in the early to mid 1970s, there were only 6 nesting pair of Bald Eagles in the state of Ohio.

I saw one while I was running my trapline Saturday in North Eastern Licking County, near Perryton. .... Garry-

Neat picture you took. They are the most beautiful bird around I believe.
They are making a come back rather well.So well, they have been taking off the endangered list.Personally I feel they should be left on it.Sorry for the rambling on.NEAT PICTURE.

There's a pair that has a nest not to far from a big rock quarry in Mt Vernon. There was a guy there with a really nice telecope watching the nest and he let us look thru it and see the chick that was in it.It was pretty neat
