When did the catalpa worms come out last year. I had great luck two years ago and was careful not to over harvest. I didn't see any this year at all. Did anyone? When did they decide to show up?

Spencer yup, i was in the same boat, 2 smmers ago they were all over my trees late in the year, this year, I looked and looked and never saw a one?? I hope its a cycle and that they are coming back stronger then ever next year. Of course it was such a hot, dry summer, and since I only live about 15 minutes from you, may have been why.

I have always found them to be Cyclical to some extent .... but what a great bait ... Here is an article that might answer some of your questions ....

We always had patches of trees in a couple different areas and found that most years there wouldn't be worms on both patches of trees.
