Got out Saturday night with a couple of friends and did a little catfishing. We scouted a little before dark because this was out first trip to the Ohio River for night fishing. The fishing was tough, we did manage to land two Flatheads by morning the largest my buddy got in the picture 24lbs. We also landed two soft shell turtles. We had a few nice runs but I'm guessing they were turtles also. The two fish landed never moved the clickers, just when we went to change out bait we felt something on the lines. That was something I have never come across before. The water was calm not much currant and around 82-84 degrees we had no problem finding live Shad. Both cats were caught on live shad, we also tried cut bait, bluegills and shrimp. The fish and turtles were released unharmed:0a1:

Congrats on a couple of nice fish. Its hard to fish the Ohio and it has taken me a long time to learn how to do it. I still don't consider myself and expert and learn something each and every time I go out
