    Hello,
I chose c because any time i snell a hook i use the c method. So far it has not failed me yet, so i keep using it. Like i hear all the time if it aint broke dont fix it:cool2:

I also use offset circles, i have tried straight ones and didnt like them. So straight is the way to go in my book. Just my two cents.

Depending on the hook, I use either B or C. At present I have mainly straight hooks.

B and C. Helps turn the hook in.

I voted for C. If you want the off set hook to hang right when snelled this is correct.

I use the offset eye and c style where the hook shank is straight with the line.Don't know why just the way I was taught.

I have hooks snelled Like B and C. I like C better but had some straight shank hooks from before I started snelling. So I snelled them all.

I use C, I tie an egg/bait loop snell so I can push the line back through to make a loop that I put over the shrimp or cut bait to hod it on the hook better, plus it makes shrimp presentation look more natural, a necesity when Steelhead fishing.

C is the correct way to snell. The idea is to pull on the shank straight. If you run the line through the front side on the last loop you might as well not be snelling them. It puts much stress on the line where the hook eye contacts the line. Only offset eyes should be used to snell. On my 2 hook rigs for big bait I snell the top one with your "c" method, and the bottom hook is a straight eye for a regular knot

Mark is right, I believe that "C" is the only way it should be snelled with the offset eye

C only, that to me was the reason for the offset eye design

  15. I don't snell my hooks, uni knot works just fine, and I prefer off set J and Circles both. View attachment 95580

I went with "B". I stopped using off-sets a long time ago. Its a myth that the inline is the only or better way to go....My way has a trigger and that trigger is deadly ; ) Sometimes going out side the box can pay off...each to his own ; )

Bill is correct,,,2 of those are wrong.

i snell mine like in b and c, but i like c because the gap look wider.

i went from inline to offset and my hook up rate increased dramatically.
