The Carolina Catfish Club will be having its October meeting Wednesday the 10th at the Gander Mountain store in Mooresville, NC. The store is located off exit 36 on I-77 and the meeting starts at 7:00pm. This months meeting will cover club business for the remainder of the year and also some tournament news. We will also formalize a date for our fall cookout, so be sure to attend to give us your input. One topic of immediate and unforeseen concern will be the Lake Wylie tournament next month. If drought conditions continue to deteriorate there is a good chance that there will be no boat ramps open on Lake Wylie by the November 11th tournament. If this is the case we will have to move the event to another lake, and we will discuss this new location at the meeting Wednesday. We will also go over the tournament rules for the new members, and also go over Mt. Island Lake with some of the more experienced folks that have fished the lake. There wont be any secret holes given away, but some of the main areas of the lake will be covered for those not as familiar with the lake. The tournament launches at 7:00am Sunday morning October the 14th out of the Riverbend Access area near Hwy. 16 in northeast Gaston County.
