I haven't been out for a couple of weeks. The last couple of trips I've caught nothin' but channels from my "flathead spots". A couple of nights ago one of my buddies called me up and talked me into taking the boat out on the Ohio river for a while. Couldn't get a hit on live bait. Fishing was slow. Only three hits in six hours, but we landed all three, and all were flatheads. Nothing real big. Here are pics of two of them.

Thanks for the post Chris.... I plan on getting some flats on the colorado River this week end.... That sized fish is what we are looking for.....Should be in the 90's during the day, and COLD at nite, but we'll be ok cause were fishing for flats... Bayrunner ray

man even if those arent "real big" as you say i would sure love to get into some this weekend. i will take some of them "not so big" cats over what i have been catching, which is nothing.

Well, it was the day that the air temp got to 93 degrees here in the mid Ohio Valley! The water surface temp was 83 degrees when we launched the boat, but it dropped to 78 by the time we pulled the boat out.
