Good News Good News Good News!!!!

This past weekend I tried taking my boat out on the lake. The one I bought in August and haven't had a chance to take out yet. Anyway, it would start and run at a fast idle, but would die as soon as we tried to idle down to put it in gear.

I finally took it to a shop, only 2 out of the 30 that I called were willing to work on an old Chrysler. 1 shop had a week wait, the other said they could get it done before Friday. It was dropped off at 3:00 yesterday afternoon. Today, around 3:00 I got the call. IT RUNS!!!!! They had just returned from a test run on the lake and it had worked great.

Turns out that my 1970, 70 hp Chrysler was in BAD need of a tune up. Problems they fixed.
    1. Water in the gas tank
    2. Carbs were full of junk and were in bad need of being cleaned/rebuilt
    3. timing was out of adjustment
    4. throttle cable was out of adjustment
    5. shift linkage was out of adjustment

Heck, the mechanic said he was suprised that it would even run at a fast idle with as far out of adjustment as it was.

So, look out Keystone, here comes the Toe-I-nator!!!!!

yea, we know... "I work on computers, not boats". Yada da da da. Come on Tony, the motor should have been in the shop a long time ago so you could come on line and tell us about the one that was this big, got him all the way up to the boats, and dad gum it, it got off. LOL

$267.64 for the repair. That's why it didn't happen before now. I didn't have the $$$$$$$ to get it done
