I have a 14ft aluminum v hull boat, just basic set up, with a 30lb thrust trolling motor, if i took it in the river, would the motor push it up river, or would i just be able to go down river, I have a second trolling motor i could use, but I really want to take it out on the river, all my goodish spots from last summer, are underwater

    Thanks for the input

most of the time, the current will be slow enough that you will be able to motor up stream just fine. It depends more on your battery than your motor, though, really.
    1. Be sure your battery is fully charged.
    2. Keep the weight in the boat to the minimum possible.
    3. Go UPSTREAM from the launch point, so you can always drift back to where you started if you drain the battery.
    4. Go have some fun!
Let us know how you do.
