We cooked baked catfish fillets today and needed a quick and easy side item. I found a can of Van Camps Hickory and Bacon Baked Beans in the pantry. I just heated them on low in a sauce pan while the fish was cooking. I don't usually like baked beans, but these were good.

We've just about quit eating canned baked beans in favor of the 'Grilling Beans' that have come out.

No, the people that came up with grillin beans are the same ones who thought of using tin foil on the grill.

Yeah, they are both.....expensive and tasty. I only buy 'em when I have a coupon or they're on sale. :smile2:

I like the Bush Beans spokesdog Duke too, he's a golden retriever.

I tried the Southern Pit Barbecue and wasn't really impressed. They also have Bourbon and Brown Sugar, Steakhouse Recipe, and Smokehouse Tradition. Anybody tried these. Thought I might try the Bourbon and Brown Sugar. Anything with bourbon in it can't be to bad. LOL

:smile2: When I used to drink bourbon, I put it in all my meat marinades JC....but never used it in beans.

I've tried the Steakhouse Recipe and Smokehouse Tradition varieties, and I liked both of 'em.

However, I still prefer to make homemade baked beans most of the time.
