I have fished it a few times. There are two ramps i use. One is about 5 miles down shaw hwy and the other is at the end of whitestocking rd. We catch a lot of nice channel cats. We usually only get out during the day so we don't try for flatties. Catch most of them around creek mouths between 7am and noon.

Two other ramps to consider is the one at Castle Hayne right off of hwy 117 and there is a pay ramp off of hwy 210 heading towards hwy17 at hampstead. This one is at the base of the lanes Ferry bridge.I also use the two mentioned above.Best of luck to ya!
