I just moved closer to the north fork and away from my old stomping grounds of the south fork. I've done a few float trips for bass but was wondering if anyone has tried for catfish? How was the fishing and were you catching anything nice? Thanks for any input or advice.

Welcome to the BOC, Jason! :0a25:

I have heard that there a big cats around the Front Royal area where the rivers converge. I can't say more because I generally stick to lake fishing for now. I am interested in those rivers, though, and will be even more so once the VDGIF gets to the bottom of the fish kill situation.

I don't worry about the fish kill. It was bad a couple of years ago but two years fishing has been great for bass and sunfish. Haven't seen any affect on catfish in the south fork. Only thing I've seen recently affected has been hognosed suckers.
