North Carolina Boat Registration - Do I need it?

    if my boat is registered in VA along with my truck and wifes car becuase i am military do i also need a NC registration to take my boat out on the lake, i seen somewhere that only if you have your boat in NC more than 90 consecutive days then you would need to register it in NC also.

    Hunter, I beleive i would go the safe way. Call n c wildlife, (Vessel Registration and Titling at 1-800-NC-VESSEL ) . hope this helps... steve

    I believe most states will honor valid registration from another state.Military is a special case and if you are on leave carry a copy of your leave papers,if you reside in Vir and are stationed there then you will be fine as long as your registration is valid and up to date and you can prove Vir residency which I assume you have a Vir drivers license.:)
