Looking at maybe going to norman fri night. Will put in at 150. Question is where would be a good place to net some shad? This will be my first trip to Norman any advice would be greatly appriciated.

Maybe in the part to the right (leaving downtown) of the I77 causeway. If that fails , try one of the plethora of coves on the lake. Surely one of those will produce.

If you put in at the 150 bridge cross the lake over the the steam plant dam wall. Throw over the wall and let the net go down as far as possible . My guess you will net enough shad to fish for the day. I have been averaging about 30 to 40 per throw. It is legel to cast net for fish over the wall but do not climb up on it.

    Deepwoods,
Is the bait at the skimmer wall available only in the early morning or is available at other times?
