No luck

    i fish in iowa the des moiens river and we run diddiy poles i have got one 2lb flat i ues gills and chubs but no big ones where is a good place to st them to get some big ones this is my first year bank pole fishin dont know hole lot about it any help would be great thanks jon

    i would say any creek mouth- bay- oxbow- or shallow riffle- or woody place. they will cruse the shore when they want to eat.

    Flatheads like moderate current so you dont have to worry about getting in strong current there all time favorite is submerged timber so if you got a creek or somewhere that you can find that you will probably find them they also love getting in any kind of cover. Fish under a bridge or down from it just a little bit by the concrete pillars usually a good spot.
