NJ Article on flathead catfish

  1. Well now, I should try some Shad for bait.:eek:oooh:

Well, that's good news for you Tan, now you need to catch one!:smile2:

They are masking you to kill them just like PA tried, and it is a waste of time. They spread too fast. Maybe in a few years Drum fishing will include some big Flatties in the mix?!

Are they only catching them in the far north reaches? What about near Philly and the Delaware bay??

If they were worried about there shad then maybe they should lower the limits on the stripers. I know of atleast 3 Flatheads caught over #20 from the Delaware river. They are just making excuses now so they can blame it on the Flatheads later.

I remember I posted a thread asking how far invasive flatheads will spread and it got lots of replies from S-man -Rollo and some other pretty experienced flatcatters and from what I gathered from all of that info they will spread as far and wide as they can reach as long as there is a food source of some kind present,so if there has already been a few caught more than likely there is a lot more in there and they are multiplyin like jackrabbits:smile2: right now.So congratulations Delaware river you have a population of flats I'm waitin till they make their way up to my stretch of Skuke in numbers
