I am a die-hard Niners fan. From following them extensively I have seen a lot of improvement over the last couple years. I myself have seen the winner in Shaun Hill, but for whatever reason Alex Smith and JT O'whatever the hell got the call. I definitely think Singletary has this team on the right track and will finally get them over the hump this year, with Shaun Hill at quarterback. I know my opinion sometimes can be optimistic, but this year looks like it really could be the break out year for the Niners. I'm curious to get some non-Niner opinions on this one as well as some opinions from Niner fans too, if there are any out there. Thanks.

I see Vernon Davis having a breakout year. That guy is a freak of nature.

I think the Cardinals will take that division again this year. Singletary has done a lot to make the 9ers a better team, but I can only see a par 500 season for them.
They may have what it takes to win in some area's, but not all around. They should strive for above 500 this year, then work on DIVISION next year.
I'm not a 9er fan, but being from CALIFORNIA I would like to see them do better than the others in that division. But I say 500 season.

realistically I think we can be a wild card contender, Mike Singletary is doing a good job if not this year it will come.

Oakand is not my team. However, I do go for the Raiders and Athletics and hope they do well, as long as they are not playing the 49ers or Giants. It sucks to see the Raiders struggling with the history of the franchise. The Niners have struggled, but you see they are taking the necessary steps to be contenders again. Al Davis is a joke and needs to pass the torch to a young energetic owner, like the Yorks did in Frisco. Other than the money, it must suck being a player in Oakland these days.

Yea Steeler fans show a lot of sportsmanship on here don't they? They're going to be crushed when they suck at defending their title this year.
