Hey, I was just wondering if any of you guys have tried night fishing with a black light and neon colored test. I heard that this is really supposed to give you a great visual on your bites due to the illumination of the line. If any of you guys have tried this, could you suggest a black light that will burn for a long time, or perhaps any other setups you maybe using.
Black lights will illuminate flourescent line and make it look like anchor rope. They work best on the darkest night as moonlight tends to diminish their capabilty somewhat.I can name a number of Blacklights that will burn almost forever, the question is how long your battery will last:lol: oooh: :tounge_out:  Look in Cabelas or Basspro catalogs and there are some good ones there.:smile2:
With the black lights you still have the bugs to contend with. I use the glow sticks on my rod and a small head lamp when I need more light to see with when landing a fish.
I didnt know blacklights would still attract bugs. that sounds like a great idea though. you could even paint the end of your pole for extra visibility. thanks for the new idea
