I was wondering if anyone can say whether it is better fishing for cats in the winter during the daytime or noght time? I was considering hitting an area just under a major highway bridge on the snake river tonight or sometime this weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here's my guess, day!

It's warmer and their metabolism is up.

Most of our winter fish are caught, late evening, at night, or very early morning. Seldom do catch much during daylight hours.

I have actually had better results a night, cold as jack frost breath but better fishing.
