Top as soon as I can get my schedule worked out we will set up that night fishing trip. I like fishing at night anyway for the peace and quiet, although last Fri night My fishing buddy and I had just put our jugs out and the guys fishing in the flat next to us came over into the flat we were fishing and put yo-yos all down the bank waved and went back to there fllat, but what can you do it is pub;lic water.

    Top,
I know what you mean about the heat, and this heat is pretty bad for June.
I am actually going to fish from sun up to sun down this Wednesday down on the river. After that, I am sure I will want to do nothing but night fish in the semi-cooler temps.
Let us know how you do when you head out Top.

Top that flat we started out in last time looks like a good spot to jug, like you said it is protected from the current.

Love night fishing myself. Just got back last night from Texas, fishing with Bud Still. We put out a trot line and seven jugs on Sam Rayburn reservoir. Caught one small kitty on the jugs. Probably had a few on the trotline too. But when we went to run the line on the second run, somebody had cut the line. Bud, Bobbie and my 9 yr old(Rickey) caught a nice little batch on stink bait. Hopefully will be doing some night fishing with Tallmanrus(Robert) this weekend!

Good luck on the night trip. With this heat, and the increased summer boat traffic, I'm limiting myself to early mornings and late evenings. I may have to try a night pretty soon too!

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

We were using cutbait, trotline minnows, and weiners soaked in garlic and kool-aid, on this night the minnows ruled supreme.
