I have learned a lot on the BOC forums about where to locate cats during the day. I have heard little about how that strategy changes at night. I am aware that they move to shallow water to feed at night. What do you look for to determine if you have a good spot? How do you decide where to fish at night?

Any flat that is close to deep water is worth trying, especially if there is good structure. Cats wont move far for food if they dont have to.

i agree with Kyle . it's just that simple for fishing flats. if your locateing them in the day you probably already have a decent locator on your boat. do not neglect to watch the deep holes for bait fish at night also, the cats will be there with the bait.

if you can find a nice shallow flat with bait on it, You'll almost always catch fish

Night fishing for cats can be good.
