Nice Largemouth in Creek Channels

    Looking to find the catfish Sunday on LKN and found some really nice largemouth stacking up in the mouths of creek channels. Didn't find any catfish but these bass fried up great!! Air temp was 43 degree's and raining,water temp was 53 degree's. Catfisn will be stalking these bass soon and hopefylly I'll be there when they do.:wink:

    Tube jigs,jigging vertical in 20 feet of water with a stumpy bottom Fish where about 3-5 off the bottom. They are VERY tightly bunched into small area's.
    Drift VERY slow,using a sea anchor if you have one and stay in the 20 foot range. Trow out a marker when you pick up a fish and THROUGHLY fish the area.

    Scale them, fillet them with the skin on, vacuum seal the fillets. GREAT CATFISH BAIT!!

    Yep, I did just that with a few of the smaller ones we caught that day. Filleted and deep fried the rest and MAN were they good!

    Those are some nice ones, Those fish can win you a lot of money in most Ba$$ tournaments.
