i am new to boating so i have a question about rough water. if ur caught out in rough water, high winds, big waves, should you anchor (the news report i read said they were anchored)? if not, then what?

I would say don't anchor, better to let the boat ride the waves. If your achored in heavy seas the waves could swamp you if the anchor doesn't allow the boat to rise fast enough.

Prayers to the families as well, I truly hope (and it may sound morbid, but I don't mean it that way) that they at least will find some TRACE of these men so the families can see some closure. I cannot imagine how that would feel in this situation-- the NOT knowing.
