    Hello, all!!!
One more newbie over here, smile.
Hi, I am Rafaella and I am interesting in Jordan Lake NC info...
Very new to fishing, yet LOVING it.
I live close to I-40 , and I would like to know if anyone can help me out with a few questions.
    1. Where are the best spots for catfish/fishing in Jordan lake?
    2. Is there any fees for park/entrance/recreation areas?
    3. What is the BEST time to fish in fall? - I understand early am or late at night?
    4. Help me out with simple "beginner" plan for fishing:
keep in mind - I am a female - need SIMPLE language for fishing tips - do I need reel or pole? What bite is the best for cats ( waw, I know a little "fishy" language laready ha-ha), are there any tricks that YOU want to share ( freebie tips for the beginner).
    5. What store to use for bite?
    6. Fishing license info, please.

    Did I get it all?
of course, not, I will have more questions as they arise...

    Thank you, guys.

    Happy fishin'.

There are a few of us that fish Jordan. I don't know about the best spots but there a a few "wilderness" areas that have their good days of fishing. Some of th parks do charge an entry fee but the wilderness areas are free to fish. In the fall you can fish all day and night, the water temp is coming down and the fish should be feeding up for the winter. A rod and reel would be benefical. I would use night crawlers are minnows, they are located everywhere and easily found around the lake to buy. Shad is another good bait but that requires a cast net. you can buy a fishing license online at north carolina game and rec, walmart are some bait stores. This site has a ton of members that are more than happy to share know how, feel free to ask any questions you may have. And Welcome to the BOC
