Hello peeps. New member here. Found ya'll googling. Anyways I live in Fountain Inn and am looking for places to catch some cats with my son and buddies. Pretty much we always dock fish at Greenwood and would like a change. I have no boat, so I will be kicking back on the banks somwhere. Anyone have any suggestions where the public may access some rivers in the Upstate? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Todd, first of all welcome to the BOC! The Saluda river has many places you can access it with pretty good catfishing. I used to bank fish there a lot around the Pelzer Williamston area. I have heard of a few people on here talk about fishing the saluda down near ware shoals. Also over in the greer lyman area, you can fish Lyman lake or lake cooley which are accesable to the public.(not sure if any fees for bank fishing, I know there is for boats) Saluda Lake off white horse road near 183 also allows bank fishing for a 2 or 3 dollar fee at the landing. I hope this helps some. I know there are more of the guys and gals on her who will probably give more areas, but this is all I can think of now.

    Good Luck!
    Steve
