Happy to see you made it into the brotherhood. :smile2: what kind of bait you use depends on what kind of cat your fishing for and where.. in a lake or river and the current speed. but live and cut bait seems to work the best.

welcome aboard Rob. Top two baits, undisputed, are shad and shipjack.

Welcome to the BOC Rob. I prefer live or cut bait myself. You can use the pantyhose trick on liver, liver hooks, or if your lake fishin, you might hive Danny Kings punch bait a try.

Glad to see you on here, enjoy. My favorites are shad & shrimp, won't be long we can gather dead shad around lakes. Luck

hi Rob! There is ton of different baits to use for catfishing. For channel cats, try stink-bait, liver, cut-bait, worms. For flatheads try live bait, bluegill, shad, small bullheads, goldfish, suckers, etc. For blue catfish I would go with fresh cut-bait. Depending where you fish at, try to match the forage of the waters you fish. Where in Nebraska do you fish?

    Hope this helps!!
